WILDFLOWER FAIR
|
Each Spring, the Garden Club holds a Wildflower Fair under a tent on an open stretch of lawn in the middle of the Cheekwood grounds. The sale is made up primarily of wildflowers, many propagated by the staff of the Howe Garden and Garden Club volunteers. The Howe garden is close by and visitors are encouraged to walk through for inspiration and ideas before going home to experiment with their own new plants. In addition to the flower sale, the tent is surrounded by local craft vendors selling a variety of wares from bird baths carved from Tennessee limestone to hand-tooled copper serving utensils with the bowl in the shape of a ginko leaf.
